Maize Maze

Have fun getting lost in our 2009 Dinosaur maize maze.

Opens During the Summer Holidays

Each year at the beginning of May we plant the new seasons maize maze. Over the next few months, farmer Ed and his helpers carefully mark out, and carve miles of paths into the growing crop. This year we hope to build a giant Viewing platform right in the centre of the maze. The maze opens in time for the summer hols when it is around 8 foot tall - it really is like walking into a tropical rainforest.

Around the edges of the maze, Farmer Peter plants 250,000 sunflowers which bloom at the beginning of August.

Once briefed , enter our Jurassic forest in search of clurs.. As hard as you like or as easy as you make it - the maze is great fun and gives you a real sense of achievement (if you ever make it out alive).

We even cut some escape routes around the edges of the maze for those little ones whose feet are aching.

We do ask that no unaccompanied children enter the maze - this is for their own safety as we are still looking for a group of kids from Cardiff who entered the maze 4 years ago.
