PigsPiglets are the cutest, most amazing babies you will ever see !Our pig is called Perriwinkle Dolly the 23rd (Dolly for short). She is a pedigree Gloucester Old Spot who came to the farm in 2006 and had her first litter of 8 piglets last summer. In March 2007 she has produced 9 spotty piglets and is an excellent mum. Later this summer we hope to be getting another pig just before she gives birth. Pigs are very clever creatures and roll in mud to keep cool and to protect themselves from the sun. They also brush their teeth by chewing stones. |
