Britains biggest wild animal ! (ours are tame though)
We have a small herd of red deer hinds on the farm who live outside in their paddock in the summer and inside in the animal barns during the winter. They share their accommodation with Manuel the Guanaco. The deer are all tame as they were all hand reared on the farm. They eat much the same as the other animals on the farm - grass, hay, maize and silage together with special mineral blocks to give them their vitamins.
As our deer are all hand reared they can be very naughty and have a warped sense of humour. They do like to nibble coats and hats and are rather partial to chewing any pigtails which come into range. You have been warned !
